Horrible, I can literally sit here and write a page but I won't. Long story short, a friend and I went to the bar, the food came out, it was not what I ordered so like any other PAYING CUSTOMER I told her to take it back which she got hostile all because she did not hear me correctly because of the OVERLY LOUD MUSIC. The next order came out and before I could even start eating she tried to give me my tab so I told her I am not paying for anything until I eat, I will pay when I eat she... told me no I asked her why she said it was because I was "rude." SO in response, I told her it was rude of her to get hostile about a situation that she created. I proceed to tell her I am not paying, she tells me, yes I am, I am not going to tell her "what to do" I ask for a manager, he did not come out and try to ask me what the problem was..dropped the ticket off and tries to walk off, I stop him to talk about the situation, he tells me he will talk to her, showed no interest in giving me the proper customer service. I am upset at this point, cannot even stomach my food which my fries from the previous order were the same ones given back to me, I realized because when I told her that it was not my correct order she asked if I wanted it all fixed, I told her yes..WHICH OBVIOUSLY DID NOT HAPPEN except the burger...I then wait a good 20-30 minutes for him to come back because I was going to tell him to take all of the food off my ticket, I tried to eat my food halfway but did not finish all of it because of how upset I was..so I tell him to take it off and then he tried to accuse me of purposely eating half of the food knowing I wasn't going to pay for it, yells that he is not going to take anything off and storms away, I wait another 15 minutes for him to come back for us to go back and forth about why I am not paying for the food, he finally takes the ticket and accuse me of being a scammer! I am new to the area and this place was recommended, my first time going, sucks it had to end like that. Besides my complaint, other customers were complaining as well on the way out of the restaurant..DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

We went on Sunday for the game. Our bill was about 126 and we paid a total of 148. When I checked my bank the bar took out 2 other charges 1 for 7$ and the other for 122$ on top of the 148 we paid to close out our bill. How can this bar do this and think noone will see the other charges..!? I have taken legal action with this and want my money back.

This is not my first time at Baxter's, my employees as well as friends come here often. Each time whatever is not finished we get a to go box and it's given with no issues. Today I decided to come with my daughter and ordered no drinks this time because she is a minor. I asked for a to go box the young lady gave them to me but right after a male not sure who he was came out and made an entire scene about how they don't give Togo boxes on Happy Hour it's only to get people in to buy drinks. He was loud and very unprofessional. I asked the waitress for my receipt and told her charge me full price for my order. It's not that I can't afford it because of course I could. The issue is how loud, rude, and unprofessional the male was. If the rules are different day to day please say so...no where is it stated that there will be no to go boxes during Happy Hour and beside that I've always received a box with no issues.

was there Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00 for dinner and drinks prior to David Blaine show. July 9 and no air conditioning. We spoke to the staff and they complained too. It was actually refreshing to leave as it was cooler outside.

I love this place every time I'm in Norfolk I go to Baxter's the food is always really good. They must have a hundred TVs great place to watch any game the only problem is the drinks are too strong......LOL ... if I were you I would definitely go there

Been a few years since we last ate at Baxters, last night was terrible, it was as cold inside as it was outside, food was ok at its best, won't go back..

I visited Baxters today for lunch. I asked for water without lemon. The waitress returned to the table with three waters with lemon on all the glasses. She clarified that I requested no lemon and proceeded to take the lemon off the glass with her hand after she sat the water in front of me. I ordered the crab cake sandwich for lunch and requested the sandwich to be plain. However it was delivered with the sauce on the sandwich. The sandwich was taking back to the kitchen where they scraped the dice off the sandwich regrilled it and brought it back to the table. I could still see the sauce on the sandwich it had been flipped to the bottom when I addressed with the waiter she admitted that's what they did and told me it would take to long to make another sandwich. nothing was done to rectify the problem. I was told the manager does not come in until 7. Needless to say I did have lunch today. The staff was unconcerned just took the item back to the kitchen and took the item off the check. I don't have a long lunch break and was unable to go anywhere else. The others in my party enjoyed their lunch.

We've used Baxter's for many events and have always been very pleased. Whether it's onsite or offsite catering, they are flexible to our needs and deliver exceptional service. We will continue to use them & highly recommend!
